I'm assuming your having problems having more than one P account used and registered from the same IP, if this is the case you can register botnicks, which are basicly fully functional Pnicks which are bound to one account, I think the only limitation is they can't register or support channels.

To register a botnick go to http://www.netgamers.org and login with your Pnick and password, click on Cservice Menu from under the Navigation heading on the right hand navigation bar, you'll then go to a new page with a few options, click on then follow the instructions, once your done you can login to the botnicks with the same password as the owner account then use it like a normal account, you can go to to change the password for any of the botnicks you own.

If you're not having problems having more than one Pnick in use from a single IP and you're being disconnected (glined) for too many connections you'll need to login to the netgamers site and select from the top navigation bar then select , fill in the relevant details then submit and in a few days the ever helpful `Paul will get around to processing your application and either accept it or decline it depending on whether or not he thinks it's valid, if accepted you'll then be allowed more than 3 connections to any server on netgamers without being glined (there'll still be a limit though).

Hope this is some help.

Applying for an exception is only worth the effort though if you have a static IP. If your IP changes every time you connect (eg. when you're on dialup), then the exception route isn't for you.

The best thing to do either before you submit a channel application or after you have been suspended for being a multi is to find an admin in #cservice. The policy clearly states that multiple nicks are not allowed, and if you feel that your accounts look suspcious in that way, it is your responsibility to tell us about it.

As to your other suggestion about tying something to your nick, as Pyro` pointed out you can register a botnick, however they cannot own channels or be supporters of channels. It is very difficult to give an option for a "Family Nick" or some such as it is easily open to abuse. For instance, if someone declare that 5 nicks belong to their family just by clicking a single button, it allows them to abuse the system and exceed their channel limit as they are all family. Thus interaction in #cservice is required.

Thankyou for pointing that out A2. The typo has now been corrected.
