Hi,

Due to some very nasty people (kiddie porn, stolen credit cards etc) using my domain name (atomicrevs.net) as the "From:" field for their vile spam, I have been forced to "drop" atomicrevs.net from the internet (my registrar is trashing the domain)

For the forseeable future I am going to be using [edit: see below] until such point that atomicrevs.net is "clean" again.

I've become a victim of a sickening trend. So take this advice; never give your "main" email address to anybody you don't absolutely trust. Else you too may recieve threats from people all over the world accusing you of being a peddler of kiddie porn :-(

[edit: mong @ netgamers.org will be temporarily affected ]

Please pass on my change of address to anybody you think might want it.

Cheers,

M.

Sorry to hear that Mongy, but is it the best idea giving your new email address out here? Why not just say your official address and leave it at that? I dunno..tra lalalaaaa..

Valid point Strifeh, I'll edit my post :)

Anyway, I don't know if ppl know, but anti-spam systems and ISPs do a "reverse check" on the "From:" and "Reply-To:" and other originating fields, in order to establish that an address isn't from a made-up host.

Sadly spammers have decided that the logical thing to do is use existing domains... anything as long as it's not their's.

As my domain began with an A and has been around since 1996... I was an obvious target :(

M.
